RIP to a Morning Brew Coworking series, hello new things to pitch...
New Stack op-eds, Fast Company Best in Tech, and Inc Power Partners. We got ya covered.
It’s a sad day! Morning Brew is officially sunsetting their long-running weekly Q&A series featuring tech practitioners from CEOs to Managers, the Emerging Tech Brew Coworking series. We loved this easy win. The column will run until the end of May, so recent submissions may still have a chance at being featured, but the form to submit new profiles is closed.
Thankfully, the other Brews — CFO, HR, Marketing, and Retail — are still open for submissions. This is one of our favorite media opportunities, so check out the other remaining verticals.
In positive Morning Brew news, a new healthcare reporter to pitch!
And in more “existential” news, The New York Times is launching The AI Initiatives Team. Here’s the (abbreviated) scoop, which we actually think provides great guidance for how PR people should approach using AI tools as well.
Our team recently started building prototypes of A.I. tools and products. Our initial areas of focus are machine-assisted reporting that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. We will always use A.I. as a tool in service of our mission; transparently and ethically; and with human guidance and review. Our team will also make certain gen-A.I. tools available to a pilot of journalists, to experiment with their own work and start understanding how the technology is and isn’t helpful. More details, along with training and guidance for everyone using the tools, are coming soon.
We like it. Ok, back to our usual: useful yet overly specific. Have a REALLY technical op-ed to pitch? I’m talking: Containers, JavaScript, Kubernetes, Platform Engineering, Python, Rust, and WebAssembly. Well one of the top developer pubs, The New Stack, wants your op-eds. Here’s an article with all the recent intel. They’re even working with Matt Burns, former managing editor at TechCrunch!
Or, got a healthcare or health tech spokesperson with something new (and I want to emphasize, “new” means there’s not already other podcasts or articles on it), then the leading trade pub Fierce Healthcare wants to hear from you for their podcast.
Does Goop’s PR person follow up? Probably not. But if you’re one of the rare, cool Hollywood publicists that somehow found our newsletter and wants to share deets on their Influencer-turned-wellness-entrepreneur’s latest endeavors, leaving this here for you:
In advertising or marketing and have an incredible new SVP you’re pushing to media? Well, don’t pitch Olivia at AdAge because she doesn’t want to hear it. Instead, try the Agency Spy alias, and you just might get a mention in Revolving Door.
